Established in 1979, City Optics is a local eye care centre which believes in giving our best personal attention and eye services to all our customers. Here at City Optics, we only employ responsible and experienced optometrists who have years of experience in optometry. Some have worked and are still working in hospitals or eye Centres. As such, we concentrate our expertise in one outlet in Singapore.

City Optics was started in 1979 and have a customer base of more than 40,000. Some of these are staying overseas, and they made appointments by email, before they come to Singapore. Our optometrists are all well-trained and have years of experience in optometry.

We have a different vision as compared to other optical shop. We believe in giving the best personal attention and eye service to our client that is why, we concentrate only one outlet and employed only responsible and experienced optometrists.

A number of them come from foreign countries such as USA, UK, Australia, Indonesia, etc. Most of our customers came to know about City Optics through word-of-mouth and referrals from eye specialists and optometrists. With these supporting figures, we are confident that we have gained recognition in this optometry field as one of the best eye care practitioners.

Mr James Chong
Our Senior Consultant, James Chong, was invited as one of the 10 international experts and top presenters in Orthokeratology to give a speech at the 2nd International Symposium on Orthokeratology (ISOK) early May this year. ISOK is organised by the Society of Orthokeratology (Singapore), under the Permanent Secretariat, the School of Optometry, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

James, who is also the Treasurer for Society of Orthokeratology (Singapore), has practised Optometry in Singapore for the past 20 years specialising in contact lenses, particularly Keratoconus. He is also a visiting senior optometrist to the Singapore National Eye Centre and conducts regular contact lens workshops in Malaysia.
